Robert du Treil
Bob
du Treil, Sr. received a BSEE from Louisiana State University
at
Lafayette, LA in 1961. His varied engineering experience resulted
from engagements with his father’s
consulting engineering firm,
L.J.N. du Treil & Associates, and with the firms
of John H. Mullavey
& Associates,
Jules Cohen & Associates,
du Treil-Rackley Consulting Engineers and
du Treil, Lundin & Rackley, Inc. Over 40 years of broadcast engineering
has covered all aspects of AM,
FM & TV allocations, FCC applications and
various field work.
Papers written by Bob Sr. regarding design
of AM directional
antenna
patterns were used in the ITV Region 2 conference in Rio
de Janiero in 1983.
Bob Sr. is
a member of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting
Engineers (AFCCE), having served as president, a member of the Institute
of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Society of
Broadcast Engineers (SBE).
