Harold L. Kassens,
1918-2005
   Mr. Kassens was a native of Chicago, IL and resident of Arlington, VA
   for over 50 years. Harold graduated from Indiana University in 1939 with a
   Bachelor of Science degree in physics, then pursued graduate work at
   Purdue and Harvard Universities, and M.I.T. He served as a Captain in the
   U.S. Army Signal Corps, Central Pacific Base command, during World War II.
   He worked for the Federal Communications Commission from 1941 until 1974,    holding various positions including Chief of the Rules and Standards Division,
   and retiring as Assistant Chief of the Broadcast Bureau. Harold became a
   partner with A.D. Ring and Associates in 1975 and retired in 1982. He
   remained active in the industry, and his familiar smile graced several offices
   for many years to come. Mr. Kassens was a Fellow of the Society of
   Broadcast Engineers (SBE), a member of the National Association of
   Broadcasters (NAB), the Association of Federal Communications
   Consulting Engineers (AFCCE) and the Institute of Electrical Electronic
   Engineers (IEEE). He was an active member of Arlington Forest United
   Methodist Church for 50 years, as well as the Arlington Senior Golf Club.
