Ron is active in industry organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE), having served as President of the AFCCE and Vice President of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society. He is an active lecturer and writer, having spoken many times at conventions and workshops sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), and the IEEE. He has published numerous articles for communications industry periodicals and provided chapter material for several engineering textbooks.
Ron is a registered professional engineer.
